SPECTRE

The new 007 movie, which will be the 24th in the series, will be titled SPECTRE.  This week the movie went into filming and the filming will last up until June.  SPECTRE is slated for a release date of fall 2015.

SPECTRE was announced as the title by director Sam Mendes during a live stream press conference at Pinewood Studios, north east of London.  Some during the information session Sam Mendes told us that he cannot talk about the title but anyone with previous 007 knowledge will know what it means.  SPECTRE stands for Special Executive for Counter Intelligence Terrorism Revenge and Extortion. What does this mean?  This means that Ernst Stavro Blofeld should be back battling 007!

Additionally, Sam Mendes announced the cast.  First off he mentioned the non human part of the cast and introduced the new Aston Martin DB10!  This car was specifically designed for SPECTRE and we'll have to watch the movie to see it in action.

Here is the cast list:

Daniel Craig will return as James Bond,
Ralph Fiennes as M., and
Rory Kinnear will reprise his role as Tanner.
Naomie Harris will also be back as Moneypenny.
Ben Whishaw will be back as Q.
Andrew Scott ("Sherlock") will play Denbigh.
Christoph Waltz will star as Oberhauser.
David Bautista ("Guardians of the Galaxy") will play Mr. Hinx.
Monica Bellucci will play Lucia Sciarra.
Léa Seydoux will star as Madeleine Swann.

Also, not mentioned in the press conference is the fact that Mr. White, played by Jesper Christensen.  This means that the organization of Quantum will some how play a role in SPECTRE.  Could Quantum be a small element of the overall organization SPECTRE?  Too early to tell at this point.

The movie will film over the next seven months in locations including London, Rome, Mexico City, Morocco, and Austria.
